Born on February 16, 1996, in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, Troy played as a defenseman, standing at 6’1″ and weighing 190 pounds. He was known for his strong defensive skills and leadership on the ice. Troy played for the Norwich Merchants in the PJHL, where he was a standout player. He participated in the Doherty Division All-Star and Prospects Games, showcasing his talent and earning recognition as one of the top players in his division (EliteProspects) (Pointstreak Sites). Throughout his career, Troy demonstrated a commitment to excellence, both in his athletic performance and his teamwork. After retiring from professional play, Troy has shifted his focus to sharing his knowledge and passion for hockey with others. He brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the game, making him a valuable addition to any training or instructional team. Troy’s dedication to the sport and his ability to inspire and mentor young athletes make him an exceptional trainer and instructor. Andrew Whalen Andrew Whalen brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Prospects Paradise. Born on December 25, 1990, in Hamilton, Ontario, Andrew’s journey in ice hockey began with the Port Colborne Sailors. Standing 6 feet tall and weighing 201 pounds, his impressive physical presence and skills on the ice have made him a formidable player throughout his career. Andrew played as a center, known for his shots and versatility on the ice. His professional career spanned numerous teams and leagues, including notable stints with the Grimsby Peach Kings, Brantford Blast, Milverton 4WheelDrives, and Shelburne Muskies. His talent also took him overseas to Sweden, where he played for Surahammars IF. In addition to his playing career, Andrew achieved significant accolades, such as being a part of the WOSHL Champion team in 2021-2022 and the ACH Champion team in 2022-2023. His deep understanding of the game and his dedication to excellence are evident in his coaching roles, including positions with the Fergus Force and Niagara Whalers in the GMHL. Andrew’s diverse experiences and profound knowledge of ice hockey make him an exceptional trainer and instructor. He is passionate about developing players’ skills, fostering a love for the game, and helping athletes reach their full potential.
